1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Lexarna ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lexarna is an AI-powered legal research and drafting platform. The Service provides semantic search across Indian case law, statutes, and user-uploaded documents, as well as AI-assisted document drafting.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms
  • Share your account with others or resell access
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing
  • Use automated scripts to access the Service beyond normal API usage

5. AI-Generated Content

Lexarna is a research tool, not legal advice. AI-generated responses, citations, and drafts are provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy of all citations and legal references
  • Reviewing and editing all AI-generated drafts before use
  • Exercising independent professional judgment in all legal matters

Lexarna does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any legal information provided.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: You retain all rights to documents you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process, index, and search your documents solely for providing the Service.
  • AI outputs: Drafts and research outputs generated by the Service are provided for your use. You may use them freely in your legal practice.
  • Our platform: The Lexarna platform, including its design, code, and AI models, is our intellectual property.

7. Billing and Credits

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • Credits are consumed per feature use (research queries, drafts, uploads)
  • Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if fewer than 10% of credits have been used
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexarna shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.
